The activity of paddling is rapidly increasing across Australia and so too are the concerns around safe and responsible use.
Project goals
To promote safe use of paddle craft
Promote nationally consistent awareness of the need for care and caution around paddle craft
Identify and engage paddle networks, and channels, such as retailers, to promote safe use.
Educate paddlers on how to “Paddle Smart”

Key messages
Whether people are new or experienced to the world of paddling, participants should ensure they are doing the best they can to keep, themselves, other water users and their families safe, while enjoying the great adventures and fun that paddling can provide.
The Paddle Smart guidelines are a set of reminders/advise for every paddler.
